Apple TV+ Announcement and Launch

The tech giant, Apple, has become more impressive over the years. Therefore, no one should be surprised by the company finally venturing into the streaming service industry. For Apple TV+ to come to life, billions of dollars must be properly invested in order to give the audience exclusive and original programs. This is one of the defining factors between itself and Netflix. Top-tier directors, actors, and professionals from the most renowned TV and film production teams are said to be aboard this revolutionary product that Apple has created and is promised to be like no other in the streaming world.

With this service arriving in the fall of 2019, expect to see it on Roku devices and Fire TV. Also, Apple TV+ will not be exclusive to Apple users as it will be on smart TVs manufactured by Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio. This means you won’t have to worry about extra costs to purchase the Apple TV 4K or any of their related devices. Nevertheless, it is certain that an Apple ID account is still required. The option to choose your preferred streaming service to subscribe to is important. Especially since there are other subscription channels such as HBO, Showtime and Starz. Each alternative provides on demand, whether online or offline, with incredible picture quality and sound, offering top-notch technology in a neat package.

Apple TV+ will be able to personalize your choice of shows and movies to watch by looking through preferences across different apps and services all while ensuring the security and confidentiality of the user.  The app will offer suggestions for a wide array of shows and movies from over 150 streaming apps, including Amazon Prime and Hulu, as well as pay-TV services such as Canal+, Charter Spectrum, DIRECTV NOW and PlayStation Vue. Additional options such as Optimum and Suddenlink from Altice will be added later down in 2019. How can someone not be impressed by the extensive features Apple TV+ has to offer? It can be argued that AppleTV+ provides a combination of features of various other big names in streaming services industry, giving Netflix an honorable mention.

It’s a mystery as to why the price hasn’t been announced yet as that will be a major factor in the customers’ decisions. However, Apple CEO, Tim Cook says it will be announced in the fall of 2019, which should, hopefully, ease the anticipation of some customers. The price may be cheaper than some may assume as Apple is creating their own content for viewing which will reduce some expenses. Furthermore, it may be cheaper than Netflix’s fee as licensing syndicated content isn’t cheap, and those contracts eventually end; hence they must either be renewed or dropped altogether.

As you can see, Apple pulled out all the stops to get some of the biggest names in the Entertainment industry. The fact that these stars are representing the brand-new Apple TV+ indicates how promising this streaming service is. Apple wants the public to consider them as a viable competitor for the top spot against big names such as Hulu and Netflix. There will be undoubtedly many more big shot producers, directors and actors that will sign with Apple TV+ as they are investing massive amounts of money into this potential heavy hitter.

The future for Apple TV+ looks very bright as it joins the streaming service industry. Apple always comes with the next best thing which is why they are still on top. Of course, there’s no need to choose if you want it now as there are other things still unknown such as the price. However, the support given to it by the professionals in the movie industry must sway one’s decision, at least a little. You can always use multiple streaming services but if you were to choose one, a brief look at the pros and the cons of each will be beneficial.
